It's time to take a bite out of pet's chewing

Q: Our 5-month-old Pointer puppy is very active and quite the chewer. She will nibble anything from shoes to lampshades as well as everything in between. We noticed that she still has several baby teeth and are wondering if chewing is part of the teething process or if it is just a puppy phase that she will outgrow. Most importantly, we want to provide her with appropriate chew toys or treats especially when she is unsupervised in her crate while we are away from home. She has not been very destructive and doesn't appear to be interested in eating what she chews, but we would like to give her positive correction and offer her an object that is hers to enjoy.
