Each spring, teams of people harness their dogs to take part in the Iditarod dogsled race across Alaska's frozen wilderness. Half a world away, also in the spring, people lace up their running shoes for the Boston Marathon. Each race has its own tests, its own struggles and its own history.
This year, one runner will lace up her shoes and take to the streets of Hopkinton, Natick, Wellesley and Boston for the second time, each step in memory of another woman, a past winner of the infamous Iditarod.
