The Travis County sheriff's office got its first dog, Willie, on Thursday for a new program in which inmates will help train dogs for Guide Dogs of Texas Inc.

Willie, a year-old yellow Labrador retriever, will eventually be paired with an inmate who will help with obedience training, officials said.
